    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Running at over a mile-high and in the coldest temperatures they've faced all season, the Fresno State men's cross country team finished in seventh with 222 points at the 2013 Mountain West Championships at Eisenhower Golf Club's Blue Course. The women's team finished in 8th with 201 points.

    A year after finishing 41st at the conference championships, sophomore Annemarie Schwanz finished in 11th with a time of 22:08.53 on the 6K course. Her finish earned her 2nd-team All-Conference honors. Senior Saylah Barserian finished in 36th with a time of 22:57.16.

    Senior Danny Vartanian led the `Dogs, finishing the 8K course in a time of 25:28.77 to place 37th. Fellow senior Kevin Poythress finished in 52nd with a time of 26:30.86. Vartanian and Poythress were the top Fresno State finishers in all five races this season.

    Fresno State will host the 2014 MW Championships at Woodward Park.
