West Region Women's Results Get Acrobat Reader

Sacramento, Calif. - Annemarie Schwanz finished her sophomore season with a 40th place finish at the NCAA West Regional at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento on Friday morning. She helped the women finish 23rd out of 32 teams running in the 6K women's race.

Schwanz broke her own 6K school record with a time of 20:34. She had set the previous record with a 20:38.5 at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational in October.

Top-ranked Arizona held off PAC-12 foe Stanford 84-94 to take the West Region women's title.

The Fresno State men finished 23rd in the team standings of the 10K race with 603 points. Stanford won the West Regional with a total of 53 points. The Cardinal finished with four runners in the top 12.

Chriss Grimble was the top finisher for the men. The junior finished in 100th with a time of 31:57. Seniors Danny Vartanian (31:59) and Kevin Poythress (32:51), who were the top two finishers for Fresno State in every race except for this one, finished in 102nd and 140th, respectively.
