FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State cross country team unveiled its schedule for the 2013 season Tuesday and is highlighted by its season home-opener, the Fresno State Invitational. On Sept. 14, the 'Dogs host its first meet at Woodward Park since the WAC Championships on Oct. 28, 2006.
Following the opening weekend at Woodward Park, the 'Dogs travel to one of the nation's largest and most competitive meets, the Stanford Invitational on Sept. 28. A season ago the field featured 29 men's teams and 256 individual runners and the women's team faced a field of 28 opponents and 284 individuals.
Fresno State then travels to the NCAA West Preview, hosted by Sacramento State, on Oct. 4. The Hornets are poised to host its first-ever Regional at the Haggin Oaks Golf Club and in anticipation for it, they will host a regular season meet on the first weekend of October.
To close the regular season the 'Dogs will make its sixth consecutive trip to the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational on Oct. 19.
This season's Mountain West Championship is slated for Nov.1 as it moves from Las Vegas to Colorado Springs, home of the Air Force Falcons.
