USTFCCA Ranks 'Dogs No. 14

By: Matt Burkholder FRESNO, Calif.- After traveling and competing three consecutive weeks, the women's cross country team has been recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. On Monday, the women's cross country team was ranked No. 14 in the West Region by the USTFCCA. It's first ranking under head coach Sean McManus in his five years at Fresno State. The women's team has placed no less than third in its three events this season, the team tabbed third-place in its opener at the Aggie Open, first-place at the Hornet Jamboree and second-place at last weekend's Sundodger Invitational, hosted by No. 1 Washington. The team will take a break from racing this weekend in preparation for the Stanford Invitational, held in Palo Alto, Calif., Sept. 29.
