Fresno State baseball claims eight All-Mountain West student-athletes, MW Co-Pitcher of the Year and Coach of the Year.
Senior outfielder Brody Russell and junior pitcher Jimmy Lambert are two of 43 semifinalists for the Gregg Olson Award given to college baseball's breakout player of the year.
Jimmy Lambert was named the Mountain West Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week, while Brody Russell earned MW Player of the Week for the second time in his career.

2015 (Junior): Appeared in all 59 games for the 'Dogs as a junior... made 52 starts, all in centerfield... hit .233 from the dish and had an on-base percentage of .345... ranked sixth on the club with 41 hits, including nine doubles (4th on the team) and a pair of home runs... drew 27 walks... drove in 17 RBI and scored 23 runs; marks that both ranked sixth on the club... had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage... tallied eight multi-hit games on the year... collected one hit in each of the 'Dogs four MW Conference Tournament games as he ended the year with hits in eight of the final nine games of the season... had a 3-for-3 performance with a run scored and a RBI in the season-opening win over UC Irvine... notched a pair of doubles and scored a run at UNLV (May 10) in a 6-2 win.... named Academic All-MW.
2014 (Sophomore): Started in 51 games and appeared in 55 of the 57-game season ... all 51 starts were in center field ... hit in six different spots in the starting lineup, most on team - No. 7 (18), No. 2 (16), No. 8 (9), No. 6 (6), No. 1 (1) and No. 5 (1) ... owned a .236 season batting average and a .381 on-base percentage - the on-base percentage ranked No. 4 on the team and 20th-best in the Mountain West ... was hit-by-pitch a team-high 11 times, ranked tied for sixth-most in the conference ... logged 30 walks, ranking third on the team and tied for the fourth-most in the MW ... stole seven bases on 10 attempts - seven steals were the team's second-most and tied for the 10th-most in the MW ... tied for second on the team for most successful sacrifice bunts (8), it ranked tied for the eighth-most in the conference ... his .986 fielding percentage ranked 18th-best in the MW, he had 136 putouts ... registered a career-high eight-game hitting streak from April 26 to May 7 ... posted 41 hits, 20 RBI, eight doubles, three home runs and 26 runs scored on the year ... set a single-game career-high with two doubles and tied a single-game career-high with four RBI on April 17 vs. Nevada ... named Academic All-MW.
2013 (Freshman): Made 48 appearances, earning 33 starts ... finished the season with a .228 batting average and a .927 fielding percentage ... had 28 hits, three doubles and three home runs ... scored 12 runs and drove in 16 ... was a perfect 7-for-7 on stolen bases ... selected to the 2013 Alaska Baseball League All-Star Game ... named 2013 Academic All-MW ... had a career-high three hits against UNLV on May 4.
High School: A three-year letterwinner at Centennial High School, where he helped lead the team to three consecutive winnings season as a center fielder and shortstop ... a first-team all-state honoree (2011), a second-team all-state selection (2012), a two-time first-team all-area honoree (2011-12) and a second-team all-area selection (2010) ... team captain and most outstanding player for both his junior and senior seasons (2011-12) ... the home run area leader (2012) ... named to Area Codes and Jockey Club (2011) ... as a senior, posted a .358 batting average and .518 on base percentage with 29 hits, 12 home runs, 25 RBI, 39 runs, and seven stolen bases ... as a junior, posted a .429 batting average and .585 on base percentage with 36 hits, 10 home runs, 18 RBI and 38 runs ... as a sophomore, posted a .400 batting average and .504 on base percentage with 38 hits, seven home runs, 27 RBI, 48 runs and 14 stolen bases ... following his senior season, drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 36th Round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft.
