The Fresno State baseball team had five of its players and three recruits selected during the three-day 2013 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.
Junior pitcher Tyler Stirewalt and senior catcher/first baseman Trent Garrison were drafted Saturday in the Major League Baseball amateur draft.

2011 (MEDICAL HARDSHIP): Drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the 50th round of the Major League Baseball draft ... started first game of the season ... recorded one putout before suffering a season ending injury.
2010 (SOPHOMORE): Played in 59 games, earning 55 starts ... hit .339 with 64 hits and 46 RBIs ... recorded 11 doubles and five home runs ... hit his first career home run on Feb. 20 against Nebraska ... caught 16 runners attempting to steal a, second-best in the WAC ... had a career-high three hits in a game four times ... was 2-for-2 in stolen bases ... had a fielding percentage of .976.
2009 (FRESHMAN): Played in 42 games, earning 25 starts ... caught 13 runners attempting to steal bases ... hit .219 with six doubles and 12 RBIs ... tallied 21 hits and nine runs ... had four games going 2-for-4 at the plate ... set a career-high in at bats (5) against Hawaii on May 23.
HIGH SCHOOL: Two-year letterwinner in baseball ... California Interscholastic Federation champions in 2007 ... All-Southwestern League in 2007 and 2008 ...
