2012 Double Play Dinner

The Dugout Club held their annual Double Play Dinner to honor the past and introduce the present Bulldog baseball team.

2014 (Junior): Started in 13 games and made 15 appearances - utilized as the game one starter in the weekend rotation nine times during the regular season, also made the opening game start in the Mountain West Baseball Tournament ... posted the most wins on the team with a 5-3 record and the lowest ERA (min. 50 IP) with a 2.87 ERA - his ERA ranked as the fourth-lowest in the MW and was one of five players to own an ERA lower than three in the conference ... also led the team with a .214 opposing batting average (No. 2 in the MW), 66 hits allowed (No. 2 in the MW), nine doubles allowed (No. 1 in the MW) and one triple allowed (T-No. 3 in the MW) - based on 1.0 IP/game pitching minimum ... worked the second-most innings on the mound for the 'Dogs, 13th-most in the conference - 84.2 IP ... struck out 62 batters (No. 9 in MW) and got 17 to strikeout looking (T-No. 12 in MW) ... registered three one-hitters (min. 6 IP), recording two in the first three starts of the season - vs. UC Irvine on Feb. 14 in season opener (6.1 IP, 0ER, 1H, 6K, 2BB), vs. Texas A&M on March 1 (7.0 IP, 0ER, 1H, 5K, 3BB), and vs. San Diego State on March 28 he took a no-hitter into the sixth inning (7.0 IP, 0ER, 1H, 5K, 8BB) ... earned one save - vs. BYU on March 19 ... pitched a scoreless four-hit game over 7.2 innings on May 3 at San Jose State ... named the Fresno State Student Athlete of the Week for delivering an opening night win at the Mountain West Baseball Championship, worked 5.2 innings and surrendered one run off of six hits vs. Nevada on May 21 ... drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 11th round on June 7 in the MLB First-Year Player Draft.

2013 (Sophomore): Made 50 appearances, earning 42 starts as a position player ... made 17 appearances with eight starts as a pitcher ... had 37 hits with 20 runs ... led the team with five triples ... had two home runs and 21 RBIs ... went 4-4 on the mound with a 3.92 ERA ... led the team with 65 strikeouts ... named 2013 Academic All-MW ... went 8-for-13 with seven RBIs, two doubles and three triples in five-game sweep of Air Force April 19-21 ... threw a complete game with 12 strikeouts in a 5-3 win over Air Force on April 21.

2012 (Freshman): Played in 55 games, earning 50 starts ... had 41 hits with 16 runs ... recorded six doubles and 18 RBI ... went five for seven in stolen bases ... ended the season with a batting average of .223 and fielding percentage of .981 ... named 2012 Academic All-WAC team ... held the team's third-highest record for reached bases streak at 15 ... set a season-high record with four RBI in game at New Mexico State on May 12 ... played summer ball for Alaska Baseball League's Anchorage Bucs, where he made the ABL All-Star team and finished the summer with a .316 average and appearances in 35 games ... named No. 20 prospect in ABL by the Perfect Game.
