Smart 'Dogs Do It Again

The Fresno State baseball team has maintained over a 3.0 team GPA for three straight semesters.

2011 (Junior): Played in 36 games, earning 14 starts ... finished with .268 batting average ... had 15 hits in 56 at-bats including two doubles and seven RBI ... scored first collegiate run in season opener (Feb. 19) against Gonzaga ... walked five times ... set a career-high against Oregon State (Feb. 20) with two hits.

Allan Hancock College: Played two seasons at second base ... named first-team all-conference sophomore season ... second-team all-conference freshman season ... hit .341 in 2010 with three doubles, a triple and four home runs.

Lompoc HS: A four-year letterwinner ... played second base ... helped lead his team to three league championships ... twice named all-league and team captain ... senior season hit .367 with seven doubles, three triples, a home run and 18 RBI.

Personal: Born March 21, 1990 in Lompoc, Calif. ... son of Patrick and Lisa Mallory ... has two younger brothers, Daniel and Joshua ... hobbies include playing cards, watching movies and hanging out with friends ... chose Fresno State because it was a chance to keep playing baseball while earning a degree.
