    William Munro Earns MW Pitcher of the Week

    Following a complete game shutout win last Tuesday, the Mountain West announced Will Munro as its Pitcher of the Week

    2014 (Junior): Named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week on March 24 for games played March 17-23, his first career MW weekly award - vs. California on March 18, pitched a complete game shutout to lead the Bulldogs to their first win over the Bears since 2004 - 9.0 IP, 0ER, 3H, 6K, 1BB - 9.0 innings pitched set a single-game career-high, in the 6-0 win ... made 10 starts and appeared in 17 games as a third-year player ... utilized as the midweek starter in eight of 10 starts ... was the pitcher of record four times, posting a 2-2 record ... owned a 3.49 season ERA and pitched 56.2 innings ... registered 31 strikeouts against 13 walks ... held opponents to a .281 batting average ... owned a 2.57 ERA as a starter in the regular season (nine games) ... in first appearance of the season vs. UC Irvine (2/15), earned win in relief over 5.0 innings - finished a 13 inning game, entered in the ninth inning and was perfect through the first three, allowed three hits and struck out four in the 8-7 extra inning win.

    2013 (Sophomore): Made 17 appearances, earning seven starts ... finished the season 2-4 with a 5.23 ERA in 53.1 innings pitched ... struck out 28 hitters and walked 34 ... named to the 2013 Academic All-MW team ... threw 7.1 innings, giving up just one run in a no-decision against No. 15 Stanford on February 22.
