Albuquerque, N.M. - The Fresno State baseball team dropped Sunday afternoon's game at New Mexico 4-1 at Lobo Field to put a bow on the series sweep for UNM. The Bulldogs will continue its seven-game spring break road trip Tuesday at Pacific before moving on to Reno for a three-game set at Nevada, April 17-19.

Lobos' starting pitcher Josh Walker threw a one-run four-hit complete game to lead the Lobos past the Bulldogs. In doing so, he forced the 'Dogs into 14 ground outs, tossed four strikeouts and did not walk a batter until the ninth inning.

Jordan Luplow, Fresno State's hottest bat during the series, put the only dent in Walker's day with a solo home run to left field in the fourth. Luplow's homer was his second in as many days, and now leads the Mountain West with seven on the year. He went 1-for-3 on the day and was 5-for-10 for the series.

New Mexico used four doubles and one triple to score each run Sunday. Consequently, all four runs the Lobos scored resulted from a leadoff multi-base hit each inning the Lobos were able to plate a run.

The Lobos led off the third with a double, which may have been three, but leadoff hitter Danny Collier pulled up as he made it to second with an apparent injury. The Lobos were able to plate the leadoff hit, but Borst came through with two huge strikeouts to end the inning.

Chase Harris started the fifth with a triple. Harris would score on a RBI-single by Alex Real before Fresno State ended the inning with a double play. That would close the book on Bulldogs' starter, Tim Borst's outing. He worked five complete innings, allowing two runs, seven hits while striking out four.

UNM then again led off the sixth with a double against new reliever Garrett Mundell. He would strikeout the next batter before Aaron Siple sent the second double of the sixth up the middle that would plate Jack Zoellner, who doubled to open the inning.

At 18-18 overall, Fresno State drops to .500 for the first time this season while their conference record is 7-11. The Bulldogs remaining MW conference schedule before heading into the MW tournament starts with Nevada and is followed by Air Force, San Jose State and San Diego State to wrap up the season.
