COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Fresno State sophomore catcher/designated hitter Taylor Ward has earned Mountain West Baseball Player of the Week honors for the second consecutive week, while Bulldog sophomore Tim Borst was named Pitcher of the Week for games played from Feb. 24-March 2, 2014.

Taylor Ward - Sophomore, Catcher/Designated Hitter, Indio, Calif. / Shadow Hills HS
Led the Bulldogs to a 3-0 sweep of nationally-ranked Texas A&M.
Was 3-for-4 in Sunday's series finale, recording half of the team's hits and drove in lone run of the game on a walk-off double to right-center field in the bottom of the ninth for the 1-0 win.
Hit for an average of .417 with five hits, one run scored, and two RBI over the three-game stretch.
Was 2-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI in Saturday's 5-0 win as the designated hitter.
Was the starting catcher in Game Two of Saturday's rain-created doubleheader, securing five putouts on defense in the 6-5 victory.

Led Fresno State to a 1-0 shutout of nationally-ranked Texas A&M on Sunday, March 2
Threw a career-high eight innings of shutout baseball to keep the Aggies scoreless into the ninth inning.
Finished the game with a career-high 11 strikeouts, allowing only three hits and did not walk a batter.
