New PJQ Schedule

March 17, 2006
FRESNO, Calif. -
Dodging the elements for what will hopefully be the final time, the tournament committee has announced the schedule for the remainder of the Pepsi/Johnny Quik Classic. Friday's scheduled game between Fresno State and Bucknell remains the only game to be played, starting at the scheduled time of 7 p.m. this evening. Six games will be played on Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning.

The Lafayette and Miami (Ohio) contest that was scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday will be replayed at Central High School on Saturday with a start time of 2:30 p.m. The remainder of the games will be played at Beiden Field in succession. Friday's 1 p.m. game between Washington State and Binghamton has been cancelled.

Washington State will start out the day with a doubleheader, beginning with a rescheduled matchup with Gonzaga at 8 a.m. before playing Miami (Ohio) at 11 a.m. before the Red Hawks head to Central High School. Binghamton then takes over the double duties, playing Gonzaga at 2 p.m. before playing Bucknell at 5 p.m. The final game of the day features Lafayette against Fresno State at 8 p.m.

All game times are tentative due to weather conditions and NCAA requirements requiring full nine-inning contests with the exception of the ten-run rule.
