Summer Baseball Academy Registration Now Open

    FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State Baseball team announced on Wednesday it has opened registration for its 2014 Summer Baseball Academy.

    Baseball enthusiasts ages six through junior college aged students have the opportunity to learn from select Fresno State coaches and players from the 2008 National Championship team and conference championship teams beginning June 2014. They will share all their baseball knowledge in part of three unique summer camps hosted at Beiden Field, home of the Diamond 'Dogs.

    The first camp, the Bulldog Hitting Academy, will be held on Monday night’s - June 9, 16, 23, 30 - capped at 20 participants per session (of two available sessions lasting an hour and a half each). Session one is reserved for ages 13 and above, and begins at 5 p.m. while the second session starts at 7 p.m. Sign up before April 30 and pay $160 per camper.

    In July, the Junior Bulldog Camp will be held throughout two different weekends. The Junior Bulldog Camp is specifically designed for kids between the ages of 6 and 12. Campers will experience hands-on instruction from Bulldog coaches and players, and learn drills and techniques in all areas of the game in a fun, competitive atmosphere. Each day includes lunch and snacks for the camp participants.

    There are two different Junior Bulldog sessions (July 14-17 and July 21-24) which are scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Camp cost is $260. Early bird discounts applied if registered before May 1 while sibling and group discounts (groups of five or more) are available too.

    The Summer Prospect Camp will begin on Aug. 9 at 5 p.m., and run till 9 p.m., then resume at 9:30 a.m. and dismiss at 5 p.m. on the 10th.

    The Prospect Camp, designed specifically for high school players and aspiring Division I athletes, will allow campers to showcase their skill sets in game situations for the Bulldog coaching staff. The first day will focus on offensive and defensive evaluations, while day two will include more comprehensive game situations for players to showcase their abilities.


     

     

    Early bird registration for the Prospect Camp is $275, while regular rates are $310 per camper.

    All camps will be located at Beiden Field on the campus of Fresno State.
