COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State sophomore Jordan Brink has earned MW Pitcher of the Week honors for games played from May 13-20, 2013. It is the second MW honor of the season for Brink.
Brink, a right-hander from Fresno, Calif., led the Bulldogs to a 2-1 victory in 10 innings against Nevada on Thursday night in relief. Brink entered in the fifth and struck out eight Wolf Pack batters, including a ninth inning were he struck out the side, in 6.0 innings of work to close the game for the 'Dogs. He allowed just one hit, one walk and one run in the win.
Fresno State (21-31, 14-16 Mountain West) and Nevada (24-30, 11-19 MW) will meet again on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. PT when the fourth-seeded Bulldogs and fifth-seeded Wolf Pack begin play in the 2013 Mountain West Baseball Championship.
Single session tickets can be purchased for as low as $10 in the upper deck for students, senior citizens and youth, while upper reserved for adults are available for $13. Seats in the lower box reserved sections can be purchased for $15 for each day.
