`Dogs Place Four on All-WAC Team

HONOLULU - The Fresno State baseball team have four Bulldogs earn First Team All-WAC honors in 2009. While junior Tom Mendonca received the top honor of the 2009 WAC Player of the Year. Mendonca batted .367 in conference play and led the WAC in home runs with 24 earning First Team and WAC Player of the Year. The junior was also named the 2009 Preseason WAC Player of the year. After finishing the regular season with a record of 6-3 on the mound and four saves, senior Holden Sprague earned First Team All-WAC honors as a relief pitcher. This is the first WAC honor in Sprague's four year career. For the second year, sophomore Danny Muno earned First Team All-WAC honors. In 2009, he earned the honor at second base. Muno hit .383 with 12 doubles, a home run and 17 RBIs. He also had five stolen bases in conference play. Outfielder Dusty Robinson was the only Bulldog freshman to earn First Team All-WAC honors. He hit .416 in WAC play with six doubles, nine home runs and 27 RBIs. The Bulldogs open the WAC Tournament against New Mexico State on Thursday, May 21 in Honolulu. 2009 All-WAC Team FIRST TEAM All-WAC:
