FRESNO, Calif.- The Fresno State Baseball team announced on Thursday it has opened registration for its 2013 Winter Baseball Camps.
Two camps will be offered to baseball enthusiasts, the Junior Bulldog Camp (for ages 6-12) will be held Dec. 26-28, while the Prospect Camp (for grades 9 to junior college) takes place Dec. 28-29. Early registration is available for both camps until Dec. 1 for discounted rates.
The Winter Junior Bulldog Camp is a three-day camp that will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. During the early registration period, camp cost is $150, after Dec. 1 the rate increases to $170. Each day lunch as well as a snack is provided for all participants.
Junior Bulldog campers will experience hands-on instruction from Bulldog coaches and players, and learn drills and techniques in all areas of the game in a fun, competitive atmosphere.
The Winter Prospect Camp will begin on Dec. 28 at 5 p.m., and run till 9 p.m., then resume at 9:30 a.m. and dismiss at 5 p.m. on the 29th. Early bird registration for the Prospect Camp is $270, while regular rates are $300 per camper.
The Prospect Camp, designed specifically for high school players and aspiring Division I athletes, will allow campers to showcase their skill sets in game situations for the Bulldog coaching staff. The first day will focus on offensive and defensive evaluations, while day two will include more comprehensive game situations for players to showcase their abilities.
Sibling and group discounts are available to groups of five or more that sign up together.
All camps will be located at Beiden Field on the campus of Fresno State.
