Familiarity with each other is a common thread throughout Fresno State's coaching staff. Fred Langley, who is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Bulldogs, previously served as an assistant under current associate head coach Heath Schroyer. Langley spent one year on Schroyer's staff at Portland State and has been an assistant under Cleveland at Fresno City College. He has over two decades of coaching experience at the junior college and high school levels, much of which was spent in the San Joaquin Valley. Prior to his stop at Portland State, Langley was the head coach at Montbello (Denver, Colo.) High School for two years and also served as the head coach of the Colorado Pump-and-Run AAU team. Langley's other coaching positions include being the interim head coach at Kings River Community College, an assistant at Fresno City College (under Cleveland) and head coach at Central High School in Fresno. He attended Lompoc High School and graduated from Fresno State in 1987. Langley Notables |
