    Don Slade is in his third season as Fresno State's Director of Basketball Operations. A native of Fresno, Calif., he attended Edison High School where he played basketball and garnered the Valley High School Player of the Year Award (1965).

    Slade went on to attend Fresno City College, where he played two years for John Toomasian, before graduating from Fresno State in 1973 with a degree in criminology. On the coaching level, Slade was an assistant basketball coach for the Rams the past nine years (1996-2005) and helped them to a California Community College State championship title in 2005.

    On the prep level, Slade also served as an assistant coach at Edison for two years (1994-96).
