FRESNO, Calif. --- In the latest chapter of a great conference rivalry, the Fresno State men's basketball team gutted out a 75-67 victory over the Wolf Pack on Wednesday night to extend the Bulldogs' winning streak to four straight.

"Really happy for my guys tonight!" third-year Fresno State head coach Rodney Terry (@RodneyTerry) tweeted on the bus back to Fresno. "Great team Win!"

The four-game win streak is Fresno State's longest since winning five consecutive games in 2007.

Senior guard Tyler Johnson scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Fresno State into a tie for seventh in the Mountain West standings with Utah State and Colorado State. The Bulldogs host Colorado State on Saturday at 7 p.m. PT at the Save Mart Center.

When the Bulldogs needed to put the Pack away, Fresno State sophomore point guard Cezar Guerrero came through by making all 6 of his free throws in the final 1:06.

Nevada's Deonte Burton, who entered the game as the Mountain West's leading scorer, hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 57 with 8:09 to play, but Fresno State held the Wolf Pack to just three points - and no field goals - for the next 6:49.

Fresno State freshman Paul Watson drilled a 3-pointer from the right corner with 1:39 left to extend the Bulldogs' lead to 68-60. The Wolf Pack's Jerry Evans Jr. sandwiched a jumper and a trey around Guerrero's first two free throws to pull Nevada within 70-65 with 58 seconds remaining, but the Pack would get no closer. Burton and Evans finished with 14 points apiece for Nevada (12-13, 7-5 Mountain West).

Watson scored 15, Guerrero added 12 and Marvelle Harris finished with 13 points and 10 boards as four 'Dogs reached double figures scoring with Harris and Johnson posting double-doubles.

Fresno State (12-13, 5-7 MW) returns home to next play Colorado State (14-11, 5-7 MW) on Saturday night at 7 p.m. PT on Heroes Night where local heroes will be honored throughout the evening.
