Fresno State is honoring all heroes on Saturday night with $5 tickets and a series of special events throughout the evening.

Fresno State hosts defending Western Athletic Conference champion Utah State in the Save Mart Center on Saturday night at 7 p.m.
The contest, which is presented by Table Mountain, will also be featured on the Bulldogs' flagship radio station, KMJ 580 AM.

About the Utah State Aggies
Utah State (Western Athletic) is 12-11 on the season with a 4-4 mark in WAC play. The Aggies are led by Preston Medlin's 15.9 points per game. Utah State leads the all-time series with Fresno State 31-19, but the 'Dogs are 13-8 in home games against the Aggies. USU has won the past ten meetings with the last Fresno State wins coming back in 2007 when the Bulldogs swept the season series (79-70 at the Save Mart Center and 71-66 in Logan).
Terry, Bulldogs Honor Heroes; Purple Heart Recipient to Sing National Anthem
Head coach Rodney Terry and the 'Dogs are honoring all police officers, firefighters, paramedics, active military and veteran's along with their families and friends with $5 tickets for Saturday's contest with Utah State. Korean War veteran and Purple Heart recipient Henry LeMay will sing the national anthem around 6:50 p.m. and the first 2,000 fans will get Terry Towels, so the Red Wave is encouraged to arrive early at the Save Mart Center.
'Dogs Notch Wire-to-Wire Win Over Idaho to Snap Skid
The Bulldogs began the second half of conference play with a 65-55 wire-to-wire victory over the Idaho Vandals. Jerry Brown chalked up his first double-double by tallying 14 points on a perfect six-for-six shooting from the field and pulled down a career-best 10 rebounds while Tyler Johnson scored a game-best 17 points, which equaled his career high, to help Fresno State snap a three-game losing skid and win their first against UI in the past nine tries.
Olekaibe Lighting Up the Nets
Even as teams gameplan to stop him, Bulldogs' guard Kevin Olekaibe is a scoring machine or opens up the offense for his teammates. He ranks sixth among NCAA DI sophomore scorers and sits second in the WAC at 17.7 points per game. This season, Olekaibe has scored in double-digits in 19 games, reached at least 20 points nine times and topped the 25-point mark six times. Olekaibe is second in the nation in 3-point field goal attempts (200).
'Dogs Draw Cal State Northridge for 10th Annual Sears BracketBusters
Fresno State will visit Cal State Northridge for the 2012 Sears Brackerbusters on Feb. 18 in the Matadome, with tip off slated for 7 p.m. PT. This will be 30th meeting (and first since 2005) between the CSU programs, with Fresno State owning a 24-5 all-time series lead. The 'Dogs have won six of the past seven and 10 of the last 12 games against the Matadors.
'Dogs Picked 6th, 7th in Preseason WAC Polls
The Bulldogs know they have some work to do to exceed the expectations of the WAC head coaches and media, who picked the Fresno State men's basketball team to finish sixth and seventh, respectively, in the 2011-12 preseason selections. Nevada and Utah State were tabbed as the early frontrunners by the coaches and media.
'Dogs Field Two Seniors for First Time in Four Years
For the first time in four years, Fresno State sports more than one senior with point guard Steven Shepp and wing Jonathan Wills suiting up as fifth-year seniors. Shepp is in his third season with the 'Dogs after starting at Allegany College and Wills is in his second in a Bulldog uniform as a D-I transfer from New Mexico.
