    About the Vandals
The University of Idaho sports a 13-14 season tally with a 6-7 record in WAC action. Mac Hopsen leads the Vandals with 16.7 ppg. Idaho was picked to finish last in the WAC by both the coaches and media in preseason polling.

    Against the Vandals
Fresno State leads the overall series with Idaho, 6-3. The Bulldogs have won three of the past four contests with the Vandals. The `Dogs hold a perfect mark over Idaho (4-0) in games played in Fresno, including last year's 69-53 victory on Jan. 12, 2009. The Bulldogs and Vandals will play twice in eight days to finish the regular season.

LAST GAME: Seay and Golubovic Lead `Dogs Over Pack, 68-66
Fresno State knocked off the second-place Nevada Wolf Pack 68-66 on Thursday night for Steve Cleveland's 200th career win. Junior forward Sylvester Seay delivered another statement as he scored 28 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for his third career double-double. Seay has notched at least 20 points in four consecutive games. Sophomore forward and Academic All-District honoree Nedeljko Golubovic recorded a career-high 18 points while draining four 3-pointers for the second straight game. Senior guard Dwight O'Neil and freshman guard Mychal Ladd each added nine points as freshman guard Paul George intercepted a career-high four steals. In the second half, the `Dogs shot 13 of 22 from the field (59.1 percent) while hitting seven 3-pointers.

    Golubovic Named First-Team Academic All-District 8
Nedeljko Golubovic, a sophomore originally from Pljevlja, Serbia, earned an exclusive spot on the first-team Academic All-District 8 team and was placed on the ballot to be selected as an Academic All-American. This is believed to be the first such honor for a Fresno State men's basketball student-athlete in the history of the program. Golubovic earned a cumulative 3.76 grade point average in his three semesters at Fresno State, including a distinction on the President's List during the Fall 2007 semester for a perfect 4.0 GPA. Golubovic's selection puts him in an elite group, as he was the only University Division student-athlete from a California college and the only representative from a Western Athletic Conference school to earn recognition.

    "Built to Last"
Fourth-year head coach Steve Cleveland and his staff turned to the foundation of the team they have built to compete for a Western Athletic Conference Championship and the opportunity to play in the 2009 NCAA Tournament with the theme, "Built to Last." By focusing on academic and athletic excellence, Cleveland has instilled a distinct focus into the new brand of Bulldog Basketball.

    Six Bulldogs Earn Degrees
As the Fresno State men's basketball team continues to build a solid foundation for success, head coach Steve Cleveland takes pride in the academic achievements during 2008 that led to six Bulldogs completing their degrees. The graduating seniors included: Kevin Bell (Africana Studies), Renato Cesar (Kinesiology), Hector Hernandez (Criminology), Eddie Miller (Africana Studies), Ajay Riding (Communication) and Shawn Taylor (Africana Studies).
