FRESNO, Calif. - With just one week before the 2010 WAC Tournament, Fresno State will host Louisiana Tech on Thursday at 7 p.m. PT. in the Save Mart Center.

With a win, Fresno State can record their best home record since the 2006-07 season. The two schools are also in line to meet again next Thursday in the Quarterfinals of the conference tournament, which can change depending on the outcomes of this week's WAC action. Sylvester Seay, Fresno State's only senior, will be honored prior to game during the Bulldogs' annual "Senior Night."

Seay Shining in Senior Season, Final Farewell to the Red Wave
Senior Sylvester Seay's relentless style of play helped spark a defensive resurgence and offensive efficiency. As the lone senior on the roster, Seay (San Bernardino, Calif) embraced his leadership role and set the standard for his younger teammates. Seay, who is one of the top 32 scorers and best seven shot blockers in program history, earned 2008-09 second-team All-WAC honors and 2009-10 preseason second-team All-WAC accolades. During his two-year Bulldog playing career, he has averaged 15 points and six rebounds per game.

George Growing as Defender, Scorer and Team Leader
Sophomore forward Paul George is growing into his role as an astute defender, multi-dimensional scorer and leader-by-example. He is the Bulldogs' top scorer (16.6 ppg), rebounder (7.1 rpg), steals machine (2.2 spg), best free throw shooter (90.1%) and owns the most minutes/game (32.9 mpg). George (Palmdale, Calif.) had started his first 54 games before suffering a right ankle injury, but after missing four and a half games, he responded with his first 30-point performance in his first game back. The sophomore is known for his high-flying, spectacular and thunderous dunks, 3-point prowess and strong defensive effort.

About the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs
The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, currently in third place in the Western Athletic Conference standings, is 22-9 on the season, 9-5 against WAC opponents and 3-3 on the road in conference play. Louisiana Tech will finish the season either third or fourth in the WAC standings. Senior Kyle Gibson leads the Bulldogs with over 20 points per game.

Against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs
Fresno State and Louisiana Tech are tied in their overall series at 11-11. Fresno State dropped the first meeting with the Bulldogs, 81-73, in Ruston, La. Fresno State has won the past three "Battle for the Bone" contests played in Fresno, Calif.

LAST WEEK: `Dogs Blitz Bakersfield, End WAC Road Slate
Fresno State started the week with a Tuesday night 79-68 blitzing of CSU Bakersfield as sophomore Mike Ladd and freshman Greg Smith each recorded 17-point evenings while sophomore Paul George contributed 16 points, a career-high seven assists, six rebounds and added a perfect four for four mark at the free throw line. When the Bulldogs returned to WAC play, Fresno State completed their final road trip with contests at San Jose State and Utah State. At SJSU, the `Dogs were outgunned by the Spartans 72-45 on Saturday night before a national audience and dropped a 76-39 game in USU's Spectrum.
