Fresno State plays its final regular season game of the season as the Bulldogs meet the Idaho Vandals for the second time in a week.

Fresno State finishes the regular season by staying in the state of Idaho to face the Vandals on Saturday night at 7 p.m. PST. This is the `Dogs last shot to secure their first road WAC victory this season and final appearance on the Bulldog Sports Network.

Sylvester Seay Recognized as WAC Player of the Week
Junior forward Sylvester Seay averaged 25.5 points and 9.5 rebounds with a pair of 20-plus scoring affairs for the second straight week as he has reached at least 20 points in the past five games. On the week, Seay shot 57.1 percent on 3-pointers with a career-high eight over a two-game span. He also connected on 16 of 30 field goals.
About the Vandals
The University of Idaho sports a 15-14 season tally with a 8-7 record in WAC action. Mac Hopsen leads the Vandals with 16.5 ppg. Idaho was picked to finish last in the WAC by both the coaches and media in preseason polling.
Against the Vandals
Fresno State leads the overall series with Idaho, 6-4. Fresno State and Idaho have gone to overtime in the last two games played in Moscow, splitting the pair with the `Dogs winning 72-70 in 2007 and falling 79-74 in 2008.
LAST GAME: O'Neil's 19 Paces `Dogs on the Road in Boise
Senior guard Dwight O'Neil paced the Bulldogs with 19 points and five rebounds as Fresno State dropped a 79-65 WAC road contest against the Boise State Broncos on Thursday night. Freshman guard Paul George, who tallied a career-high 29 points against the Broncos (2/9/09), netted 15 first half points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Sophomore center Brandon Webster earned a season-high eight points, besting his previous total of seven against Saint Louis in the LVC. O'Neil and Webster sparked the Bulldog bench to a season-high 33 points against a conference opponent.
"Built to Last"
Fourth-year head coach Steve Cleveland and his staff turned to the foundation of the team they have built to compete for a Western Athletic Conference Championship and the opportunity to play in the 2009 NCAA Tournament with the theme, "Built to Last." By focusing on academic and athletic excellence, Cleveland has instilled a distinct focus into the new brand of Bulldog Basketball.
Six Bulldogs Earn Degrees
As the Fresno State men's basketball team continues to build a solid foundation for success, head coach Steve Cleveland takes pride in the academic achievements during 2008 that led to six Bulldogs completing their degrees. The graduating seniors included: Kevin Bell (Africana Studies), Renato Cesar (Kinesiology), Hector Hernandez (Criminology), Eddie Miller (Africana Studies), Ajay Riding (Communication) and Shawn Taylor (Africana Studies).
Bulldogs Celebrated 2nd Annual Children with Cancer Holiday Party
Men's coach Steve Cleveland and women's coach Adrian Wiggins hosted 107 families, including 250 children who are suffering from cancer and their siblings, for the Second Annual Children with Cancer Holiday Party for a special night back in December.
Coaches Raised Cancer and Exercise Awareness with Sneaker Night
Fresno State participated in the "Coaches vs. Cancer," on Jan. 31, 2009. The Bulldog coaching staff sported Nike tennis shoes with dress attire to demonstrate their support for the fight against cancer, the importance of eating right and exercising.
George's Dunk Landed No. 1 "Play of the Day" on Sportscenter
Paul George's dunk during the late night Nov. 17 Saint Mary's game landed as the No. 1 play on Sportscenter's Top 10 "Plays of the Day" for Nov. 18, 2008 and opened the preview highlights for multiple broadcasts. The dunk, where the freshman slashed straight to the basket and delivered the emphatic one-handed slam on a pair of Gael defenders, has received more than 60,000 views on YouTube.
National Exposure for the Bulldogs
Fresno State appeared twice this season for national television audiences on ESPN and ESPN2. The Bulldogs' first appearance came on Nov. 17 in their road opener against Saint Mary's College at 11 p.m. as part of the ESPN College Hoops Tip Off, featuring a 24-hour marathon of college basketball programming. The second showing aired Feb. 19 on ESPN2 during the `Dogs home WAC battle with Hawai'i.
