LAS VEGAS --- Fresno State junior guard Tyler Johnson received an All-Mountain West honorable mention nod by the league's head coaches and a select media panel, the MW announced Monday afternoon.

Johnson, who leads the Bulldogs in scoring at over 13 points per game against league opponents and 12 points per game for the season, is an explosive and sharp-shooting offensive threat and his leaping ability allows him to crash the glass as one of the better rebounding guards in the Mountain West.

CollegeSportsMadness.com tabbed the junior guard as a member of its All-Mountain West fourth-team on Sunday.

Johnson and Fresno State head to the 2013 Reese's Mountain West Basketball Championships as the No. 7 seed and open Wednesday against second-seeded Colorado State in the MW Quarterfinals.

The game will tip off at 2:30 p.m. PT and be broadcast live on the CBS Sports Network, the MW Radio Network, KMJ 580 AM and GoBulldogs.com/AllAccess.

The Bulldogs enter the tournament, which is held in Las Vegas at the Thomas & Mack Center and awards the winner an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament, on a two-game winning streak with victories over Air Force (March 2) and UNLV (March 9).
