By Stephen Trembley

FRESNO, Calif. --- The Mountain West released its 2014-15 men's basketball conference schedule on Tuesday, which features Fresno State opening its league slate on Dec. 31 at defending MW tournament champion New Mexico.

Throughout the 2014-15 season, the 'Dogs will be featured at least 13 times on national television, including a CBS Sports Network broadcast of the Bulldogs' non-conference home game versus California on Nov. 30.

Fresno State will be featured on the ESPN Family of Networks nine times - all against MW competition. The nine conference ESPN games are the most of any MW school.

Fresno State's nine conference ESPN games include: at New Mexico (Dec. 31), vs. San Diego State (Jan. 3), vs. Wyoming (Jan. 17), at UNLV (Feb. 10), vs. Boise State (Feb. 14), vs. Colorado State (Feb. 18), at Utah State (Feb. 21), vs. New Mexico (Feb. 28), and at Boise State (March 7).

Two of the nine conference ESPN games are guaranteed to be carried on either ESPN2 or ESPNU, with the possibility that two other games could be added to ESPNU. The remaining ESPN games will be carried on ESPN3.

Fresno State is slated to play on CBSSN a total of four times during the regular season, with the other three CBSSN games set for when the Bulldogs travel for road games at San Diego State (Jan. 27), Colorado State (Jan. 31) and Wyoming (Feb. 25).

As part of the MW's 18-game conference schedule, Fresno State will play eight league opponents twice (one home game and one road game). The two teams that the Bulldogs will play just once are UNLV (Feb. 10 - road only) and Air Force (March 4 - home only).

Start times and additional television broadcast information will be released in the coming weeks.

Fresno State returns four starters as part of a total of six letterwinners from last year's squad that finished 21-18 and reached the College Basketball Invitational championship series.

Including the Nov. 30 home game vs. Cal, the Bulldogs will host a total of three non-conference games against teams that reached either the 2014 NCAA or NIT Tournaments. Season tickets are available starting at $149 by calling 559-278-DOGS.
