FRESNO, Calif. --- The Fresno State men's basketball team revealed its 2013-14 schedule after learning its conference slate Friday from the league office.

The non-conference slate is highlighted by the Bulldogs' first-ever games versus Pittsburgh (Nov. 12) and Florida (Dec. 21), and the return of the 29th Fresno State Classic, which will be held Nov. 29-Dec. 1.

Pittsburgh, an 8-seed in the West Region of last season's NCAA Tournament, is in its first season as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference after establishing itself as one of the elite Big East programs.

Meanwhile, Florida advanced to the Elite Eight a year ago before losing to eventual national runner-up Michigan in the South Regional Championship game. This was the third straight Elite Eight appearance by the Gators, who won both the 2006 and 2007 national championships.

The Bulldogs and Gators will meet in the afternoon game of the 2013 MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic on Dec. 21 at the BB&T Center - a neutral site match-up in Sunrise, Fla. Not only is this Fresno State's first-ever meeting with Florida, but will also mark the first time the 'Dogs have played in the state of Florida.

The other two NCAA Tournament teams on the Bulldogs' non-conference schedule are Pacific (Nov. 23) and California (Dec. 14). The Golden Bears are scheduled to make a return trip to Fresno during the 2014-15 season.

Fresno State opens the 2013-14 season on Nov. 8 at UC Irvine as the Bulldogs begin their third season under Terry's direction, before heading east to play at Pittsburgh.

The regular season home opener will be Saturday, Nov. 16 when Fresno State hosts CSU Northridge for the first of 16 regular season home games. The 'Dogs then host Cal Poly on Nov. 20.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Fresno State is hosting its 29th men's college basketball regular season tournament when the Bulldogs compete against Drake (Nov. 29), Cal State Bakersfield (Nov. 30) and Northern Arizona (Dec. 1) at the Save Mart Center.

Drawing more than 500,000 in its previous 28 regular season home tournaments, the three-day multi-team event is the Bulldogs' first home regular season tournament since 2007 and the fifth at the Save Mart Center.

The other two nonconference regular season home games have the Bulldogs facing Division II schools - San Diego Christian (Nov. 25) and UC Merced (Dec.28), in addition to two exhibition match-ups against Cal State Stanislaus (Nov. 1) and Dominican University (Nov. 4).

Season ticket packages are available starting at $149 by calling 559-278-DOGS or by visiting www.gobulldogs.com.

In addition to its season-opening back-to-back road games at UCI and Pittsburgh, Fresno State will also play road non-conference games at Pacific (Nov. 23), Utah (Dec. 7) and California (Dec. 14).

Fresno State is entering its second season playing in the Mountain West, which ranked as the nation's top conference last season according the NCAA's Ratings Performance Index (RPI).

Fresno State will open Mountain West play by hosting UNLV on Jan. 1. During league action, the 'Dogs will play home-and-away series with eight other MW schools (Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, Nevada, San Diego State, San Jose State, UNLV and Wyoming), host defending MW champion New Mexico on Jan. 18 and visit Utah State in mid-February.

The season will culminate with all 11 MW schools playing in the 2014 Mountain West Tournament in Las Vegas at the Thomas & Mack Center from March 12-15.
