FRESNO, Calif. --- The Fresno State men's basketball team's regular season home opener versus Northridge on Nov. 16 is officially sold out for the general public with all seats allocated for the free vouchers claimed.

There are still up to 2,000 tickets available only to Fresno State students - who need to pick up their tickets at the University Student Union starting Wednesday at 9 a.m. while supplies last.

The home opener is also Fan Appreciation Night with hot dogs, popcorn and soda reduced to just 94 cents each.

Former Bulldog Paul George, who now stars for the NBA's Indiana Pacers, teamed up with Fresno State and 940 AM ESPN Radio to deliver the Bulldogs' first-ever sell out of the 15,596-seat Save Mart Center, which opened in 2003.

"We are proud to partner with Paul George to create sell out on Nov. 16 at Save Mart Center," ESPN Radio's John Ostlund said. "We would also like to recognize our friends at SMG for creating 94 cent food and drink specials and everyone in the Fresno State family for thinking outside the box to make our home opener such a huge success."

Prior to the 15,596-seat sell out for the Nov. 16 opener, the largest crowd for a Fresno State home men's basketball game had been 15,423. It also marks the tenth crowd of over 14,000 and 26th of 12,000 or more for a home game.

"Fresno State at the Save Mart Center is one of the best facilities in college basketball," George said told "If you've never seen it, never been to it, it's almost an NBA arena. In my time, we never sold it out so I want those kids to have that experience to get a sold-out crowd and play in front of a full arena. I thought that was the best way to do it. I want the best for my Fresno State guys."

The Save Mart Center has already hosted four major collegiate sporting championships, which most recently came in March 2012 when Fresno State hosted a NCAA women's basketball championship regional for the second time.

In March 2004, the facility served as the host site for the McCaffrey WAC Basketball Tournament. The following year, the Save Mart Center was the venue for the first and second rounds of the 2005 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, marking the first time the NCAA basketball has visited Fresno.

Fresno State opens the 2013-14 season on Friday at 7 p.m. on the road at UC Irvine. The game can be heard live on 940 AM ESPN Radio.

"Catch the Wave" - 2013-14 Fresno State men's basketball season tickets are now on sale and can be ordered online at or over the phone at 559-278-DOGS (3647). The official home of the Fresno State Bulldogs is 940 AM ESPN Radio.
