    'Dogs Defend Ground in Golden State Under Terry
    For the second straight season, Fresno State is playing 19 of its regular season games in the state of California. Under Coach Terry, Fresno State is 15-7 when playing in the Golden State, including a 10-5 record at the Save Mart Center and a 5-1 record against Big West opponents.

    Bulldogs Begin Mountain West Era
    • This season, MW teams are 27-3 in non-conference games, with two of the three losses coming to opponents ranked in the Top 25 (as of Nov. 19).
    Fresno State is in its first season as a member of the Mountain West, which produced four NCAA Tournament teams last year. The MW features two teams ranked in the most recent AP and USA Today/ESPN Coaches polls (No. 18/18 UNLV and No. 25/25 San Diego State) as well as two schools receiving votes in the national polls (New Mexico and Colorado State).

    About the Long Beach State 49ers
    The Long Beach State 49ers are 1-3 on the season, but have played a tough early schedule with losses at No. 10 Arizona (94-72) and USC (62-44), along with a home loss to No. 11 North Carolina (78-63) and win over North Alabama (75-65). LBSU is led by James Ennis (16.8 ppg/6.5 rpg) and Mike Caffey (10.8 ppg/4.3 rpg/4.0 apg). 49ers head coach Dan Monson is in sixth season at Long Beach State with a 86-80 record at the Big West school and owns a 256-203 Division I head coaching career record.

    Fresno State leads the all-time series with Long Beach State 41-34 with a 23-14 mark against the 49ers in home games. The series dates back to the 1953-54 season, but is being renewed after the teams last played on Dec. 30, 1992 in the Coors Light Classic at Selland Arena, which LBSU won 82-61. The 'Dogs are 7-3 versus the 49ers in the past 10 home matchups.

    Foster's Big Night Fuels 'Dogs To 76-67 Road Win
    Senior forward Kevin Foster erupted for a career-best 28 points and added nine rebounds and two blocks to lead Fresno State to its third straight win by defeating Cal Poly, 76-67. Foster's powerful inside presence marked his third career game with at least 20 points and he finished 9-of-10 from the field - just shy of becoming the fourth Bulldog to go 10-of-10 in a single game. He also went 9-of-10 at the free throw line in the road win.

    Bulldogs Off to Best Start Since 2006-07 Season
    With a 3-1 record, Fresno State is off to its best four-game start since starting the 2006-07 season 4-0. The 06-07 squad went on to begin that year 7-0, finished 22-10 overall and advanced to the 2007 NIT Tournament. The 06-07 season also marked the last time Fresno State won two of its first three road games to begin the year.

    Mountain West Teams Strong out of the Gate
    Through games of Nov. 19, Mountain West teams boasted the nation's best collective win percentage. MW squads are 27-3 against non-conference opponents for a .900 win percentage, ahead of the Big 12's .871 (27-4) clip. Two of the MW's three losses are to ranked opponents (Nov. 9 at No. 24 Texas and Nov. 11 vs. No. 9/9 Syracuse). The Mountain West is the only conference with all teams having winning records.

    Terry Turns Up the Pressure, Exploits Takeaways
    The relentless defensive pressure that Terry expects from his squad has held opponents to just 38.3 percent shooting (75-of-196) from the field and 19.3 percent 3-point shooting (11-of-57). Fresno State has also forced an average of 13.5 turnovers per game (54 total). In their season opener at then-No. 24 Texas, the Bulldogs turned 13 Texas turnovers into 16 points.

    Valuing the Basketball
    One of Rodney Terry's points of emphasis is the importance of valuing the basketball. Since Terry's arrival, Fresno State has not committed more turnovers than its opponents in 33 of 37 games, including 29 of those 37 games where the 'Dogs made fewer turnovers than its opponents.

    Olekaibe Continues to Climb Record Books
    Junior Kevin Olekaibe currently ranks 37th on Fresno State's all-time scoring list with 959 career points in 66 games. He also ranks eighth in 3-point field goal attempts (460) and tenth in 3-point field goals made (152). Olekaibe owns the seventh-best career free throw clip (78.7%).

    Newcomers Step Up in Fresno State Debuts
    With Rodney Terry fielding his first full recruiting class with the addition of nine newcomers to the Bulldogs' roster, five of those nine have earned playing time - junior starting point guard Allen Huddleston and freshmen Aaron Anderson, Tanner Giddings, Marvelle Harris and Upshaw. Huddleston scored nine points, dished out three assists and grabbed three rebounds as Fresno State's starting point guard in its season-opening 55-53 loss at then-No. 24 Texas. In that game, Harris posted a team-best 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the floor, Giddings tallied four points, three blocks and an offensive board while Anderson picked up an assist. Upshaw made his debut with four points in the 76-67 win at Cal Poly.

    Bulldogs Tame Tigers 66-61 in Home Opener
    Kevin Foster posted his fourth career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead four Bulldogs in double figures and lifted Fresno State past Pacific 66-61.With the win, the `Dogs improved to 10-0 all-time in home openers at the Save Mart Center.

    Nearly Hooked! No. 24 Texas Edges Bulldogs, 55-53
    Down in the heart of Texas, Fresno State gave the 24th-ranked Longhorns nearly all they could handle before falling 55-53 in the closing seconds of a hard-fought season opener at the Erwin Center. The 'Dogs were led by freshman guard Marvelle Harris, who tallied a team-high 11 points.

    'Dogs D Comes Up Big in 39-30 Win
    Fresno State survived a trip to the Inland Empire by beating UC Riverside 39-30. Allen Huddleston led the 'Dogs with a game-best 17 points as the Bulldogs' defense held the Highlanders to just a 24.5 percent field goal percentage (12-of-49) and forced 18 turnovers by UCR.

    Fresno State men's basketball non-conference single game tickets can be bought through Ticketmaster and at the Save Mart Center Box Office. The non-conference single game tickets start at $17 for adults and $9 for youth, except for contests versus San Diego Christian and Sonoma State, which are priced at $7 for adults and $5 for youth (ages 2-12).

    Time Out Club Monthly Luncheons
    Fresno State's Time Out Club is holding monthly luncheons with Coach Terry and selected student-athletes at Buffalo Wild Wings on the first Thursday of each month during the season from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with Coach Terry talking around noon. The lunch buffet is $10.

    2013 Mountain West Championships Tickets on Sale
    Reserved all-session tickets are on sale now for $180 for all 16 games (men's and women's games) through the Bulldog Ticket Office by calling 559-278-3647. The 2013 Mountain West Basketball Championships, which will be played March 12-16 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, tips off on Tuesday, March 12 with the men's and women's first-round contests featuring the No. 8 and No. 9 seeds. The men's quarterfinals will be held on Wednesday, March 13, followed by the women's quarterfinals on Thursday, March 14. Semifinal action will take place on Friday, March 15, with the men's and women's championship games set for Saturday, March 16. The men's final will be televised on CBS for the first time in Mountain West history. The men's championship game tips off on Saturday, March 16 at 3:05 p.m. PT, followed by the women's final, which will air on CBS Sports Network, beginning at 7:05 p.m. PT.
