FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State continues its two season opening two-game road trip Saturday against Santa Clara. The Bulldogs are 0-1 on the year after losing last week at Oregon 80-67.

The Broncos tipped off their year earlier this week at the Maui Invitational. After opening the tournament with a 56-43 loss to Hawaii, SCU fell to Villanova 53-51 in overtime then played Central Michigan on Wednesday evening.

Following Saturday's game, Fresno State has only one road non-conference remaining this season.

The Broncos hold an 18-9 lead in the all-time series, although Fresno State has not lost to Santa Clara since the 1995-96 season, a span of four games. The Bulldogs have struggled mightily against SCU on the road, posting a record of just 1-12 all-time. The last time the two teams hooked up in the Bay Area came in 2000, which resulted in a Fresno State win that was later vacated due to the Bulldogs' use of an ineligible player. The team's only official road win at Santa Clara came in 1949.
