    Bulldogs Fall to 49ers, 69-61
    The Fresno State men's basketball team suffered its first home loss of the season in falling to Long Beach State 69-61 in a rare Sunday matinee at the Save Mart Center.

    Against Long Beach State (Fresno State leads 41-35)
    Fresno State leads the all-time series with Long Beach State 41-35. The series dates back to the 1953-54 season. The teams squared off on Nov. 25 at the Save Mart Center, which the 49ers won 69-61.

    The relentless defensive pressure that Terry expects from his squad has held opponents to just 40.9 percent shooting (122-of-298) from the field and 25.9 percent 3-point shooting (21-of-81). Fresno State has also forced an average of 13.5 turnovers per game (81 total). In their season opener at then-No. 24 Texas, the Bulldogs turned 13 Texas turnovers into 16 points.

    Valuing the Basketball
    One of Rodney Terry's points of emphasis is the importance of valuing the basketball. Since Terry's arrival, Fresno State has not committed more turnovers than its opponents in 35 of 39 games, including 30 of those 39 games where the 'Dogs made fewer turnovers than its opponents.

    Olekaibe Continues to Climb Record Books
    Junior Kevin Olekaibe currently ranks 33rd on Fresno State's all-time scoring list with 976 career points in 68 games. He also ranks seventh in 3-point field goal attempts (472) and ninth in 3-point field goals made (156). Olekaibe owns the seventh-best career free throw clip (78.8%).
