Fresno State (5-7) will host Sonoma State (4-3) on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. inside the Save Mart Center. Tickets start at $5 for youth and $7 for adults as part of Fresno State's Community Basketball Day.

Terry Turns Up the Pressure, Exploits Takeaways
The relentless defensive pressure that Terry expects from his squad has held opponents to just 41.9 percent shooting (247-of-589) from the field and a MW-leading 28.7 percent 3-point shooting (43-of-150). Fresno State has forced an average of 15.5 turnovers per game (186 total) and own a +49 points off turnover margin (188-139), as well as a +41 steal margin (96-55).

Bulldogs Play With Aggressive Defensive Tenacity
Fresno State has held opponents to an average of 58.8 points per game, which ranks third in the Mountain West lead behind undefeated Wyoming and No. 17/16 San Diego State, as well as in the top 20 nationally. The 'Dogs have also allowed just one of 12 opponents to score more than 70 points in a game and limited opponents to under 60 points in eight of their 12 games, including six of the past seven contests.

    Valuing the Basketball
One of Rodney Terry's points of emphasis is the importance of valuing the basketball. Since Terry's arrival, Fresno State has not committed more turnovers than its opponents in 40 of the 45 games, including 35 of those 45 games where the 'Dogs made fewer turnovers than its opponents.

Bulldogs Focused on Executing Down the Stretch
The Bulldogs' losses have come by a combined 49 points (7.0 points per game) and two of the defeats were decided by a single possession (three points or fewer). Fresno State has outscored opponents by an average of 1.1 points per game (59.9 to 58.8), and have played much better offensively in the second half of games by owning a +15 point advantage (390 to 375) in the final 20 minutes of regulation this season.

Olekaibe Moving Up The Bulldogs' Record Books
Junior Kevin Olekaibe currently ranks 27th on Fresno State's all-time scoring list with 1,015 career points in 74 games. He also ranks seventh in 3-point field goal attempts (499) and tied for eighth in 3-point field goals made (163). Olekaibe owns the seventh-best career free throw clip (79.0%).

    Huddleston Provides Instant Scoring Presence
Redshirt junior guard Allen Huddleston has provided a potent scoring threat from the backcourt. Huddleston, who sat out last season as a Division I transfer form Pacific, has been one of the top 20 scorers in the Mountain West during non-conference play (11.1 ppg).

Efficient Johnson Finding His Role, Groove
Since erupting for a career-best 19 points to key Fresno State's 64-59 road win at Long Beach State, junior Tyler Johnson is averaging a team-best 12 points per game to go with 4.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists over the past six games. This season, Johnson, who can play throughout the Bulldogs' backcourt, owns the team's best assist-to-turnover ratio (1.5 A-TOs).

Harris Showing He Can Score All Over Floor
Freshman shooting guard Marvelle Harris is quickly showing that he is one of the Bulldogs' most dynamic scorers with the ability to find ways to score from all over the floor. Harris scored a career-best 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting with seven made free throws to lead his squad during a 91-78 road loss against a talented UCLA squad emerging as a Pac-12 contender. This season, Harris is averaging seven points per game and has topped the double-digit scoring mark four times.

Three of the Seawolves are averaging double-figures in Patrick Scott (18.6 ppg), Justin Herold (11.7 ppg), and Jason Walter (10.0 pg). Sonoma State is averaging 74.4 points per game behind the three leading scorers. While this will be only the second game away from the Wolves' Den, the Seawolves are 2-1 against non-conference opponents.

This will be the final game of the 2012 calendar year for the Seawolves, as they will begin 2013 on the road with games against conference foes in Chico State (Jan. 4) and Cal State Stanislaus (Jan. 5).

The Seawolves went up against Division I competition in their exhibition season when they took on St. John's University, located in Queens, N.Y., and Saint Mary's College of California, located in Moraga, Calif.

While those matchups did not affect Sonoma State's overall record, the contest against the Bulldogs will.
