Fresno State: One of the best athletes on the team ? a versatile athlete who will be used in a "slash" role, playing primarily on defense but will be a part of the offensive packages ? will likely make his first career start at cornerback in the season opener ? an explosive athlete who has the ability to make big plays ? had an excellent spring ? is a special teams terror and one of the team's leading tacklers on the punt return and kick return squads. (1999) Played running back for the majority of the season before switching to cornerback prior to the season's last game vs. San Jose State ? had his best games in the season opener vs. Portland State with 11 carries for 49 yards and the season finale with eight carries with 61 yards and a touchdown vs. San Jose State ? missed games 2-4 attending to a family tragedy ? one of the top special teams covermen ? ranked fourth in the team in rushing yards with 161 ? averaged 4.6 yards per carry with a long of 26 yards.
