WAC releases its 2011 All-Academic teams for the fall sports; Bulldogs show well in the classroom

2011 (Redshirt Freshman): Selected to the Academic All-WAC team ... appeared in 10 games on special teams ... returned one kickoff for seven yards against Cal in the season opener.
2010 (Freshman): Redshirted.
High School: Won back-to-back EYL Championships ... won Valley Championship in 2008 ... captain of the team during his senior season ... named first-team EYL and second-team all-county.
Personal: The son of Kim and Gregg Barnes ... born on April 2, 1992 ... has one brother, Bobby ... hobbies include camping and watching movies ... former teammate Jerimiah Green plays for Nevada ... lists his favorite athlete as Tim Tebow because of the type of player he is and he steps up when needed ... chose Fresno State because he grew up watching them play and always wanted to be a Bulldog.
