(2001) A first-team All-WAC wide receiver and returner … picked as a first-team All-American all-purpose player … averaged 17.5 yards every time he touched the ball … had 1,364 receiving yards, making him one of two Bulldogs two eclipse the 1,000-yard barrier … was 31st in the nation in receptions per game (5.9) and 13th in receiving yards per game (97.7) … became the WAC’s all-time single-season leader in all-purpose yards with 2,591 … he broke the record held by LaDainian Tomlinson of TCU and formerly held by Marshall Faulk of San Diego State, both of whom were running backs and had far more touches of the ball per game than Berrian … had a monster game against Nevada, racking up 357 yards in total offense, including a punt return for a touchdown and two touchdown receptions … caught nine passes for 94 yards against Michigan State in the Silicon Valley Football Classic … had 300 total yards against Wisconsin, including a 96-yard kickoff return to open the second half, guiding the Bulldogs to a 32-20 comeback win … had six 100-yard receiving games, including the last three in a row to end the regular season … had at least 180 all-purpose yards in 10 of FS’s 14 games.
(2000) A second-team All-WAC honoree ... Fresno State’s leading receiver last year with 43 catches for 705 yards … stepped into the spotlight against Nevada when he had five receptions for 102 yards, one touchdown catch and an 88-yard punt return for a touchdown … his efforts in the Nevada game were rewarded with WAC special teams player of the week honors … followed up the game against Nevada with 100-yard games against Tulsa, Hawai’i and TCU … showed his big-play capability with touchdown receptions of 51, 55 and 71 yards … had the Bulldogs’ lone TD against No. 17 TCU … injured his ankle in the beginning of the third quarter against SMU, missing the remainder of that game and the San Jose State game … had a monster performance against Air Force in the Silicon Valley Football Classic, catching seven passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns, including one 51 yards in length.
