High School: Aggressive and athletic lineman with long arms... named first team All-Valle Vista League as well as Co-Lineman of the Year... blocked for running game that averaged 267.8 yards per game and scored 37 touchdowns during senior season... as a junior, qualified for the CIF state championships in the discus throw.
Personal: Born Sept. 30, 1993 in San Dimas, Calif. ... one of two children of Debra and Charles McCowan ... cousin Porscha Finley played softball at Fresno State in 2004 ... enjoys playing football, lifting, listening to music, going out, playing video games, sleeping and eating ... his biggest athletic thrill was running down the field and making a block to free up the running back and laying people out ... most admires his mom and dad for always being there and for supporting him in everything ... chose Fresno State because of the coaching staff and academics.
