2014 (Redshirt Junior): Played in all 14 games and made one start on the season in the Hawai`i Bowl against Rice … registered first career Division-I tackle in the season opener at No. 15 USC … recorded first career tackle for loss vs. No. 21 Nebraska … posted first digits to the sack category with a half sack vs. Southern Utah … had three games with two tackles – vs. Southern Utah, at New Mexico and at UNLV – each game matching a career-high … totaled 10 tackles (four solo), 1.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks on the season.
2013 (Junior): Redshirted.
Prior to Fresno State: Played two seasons at the College of Sequoias in Visalia ... as a freshman in 2011 he posted 18 tackles, a half sack, 3.5 tackles for a loss and broke up three passes ... team went 4-6 in 2012 when he had four tackles playing in only four games.
High School: Originally from Haiti ... only played football as a freshman in high school, where he practiced with the varsity football team ... also practiced with the soccer team ... his friend, Alvin Amilcar who is a senior defensive lineman at UNLV, went to junior college at the College of Sequoia. He told COS coach Robert Dougherty about Louis and Dougherty extend an invitation to Louis to play at COS.
Personal: Born in Haiti ... son of Ilna and Winer Louis ... has two brothers, Jude and Philippe ... grew up playing soccer in Haiti, moved to the United States in 2001 ... says he enjoys the physicality of football ... cousin, Emmanuel Lamur, is a second-year linebacker in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals ... another cousin, Sammuel Lamur, played quarterback at Kansas State ... majoring in kinesiology-exercise science.
