    Fresno State: A strong, dependable linebacker who was a big factor this year ? reads plays very well and makes good decisions ? will return next year as a three-year starter at middle linebacker. (2002) Played in 12 games, starting 11 ? was fifth on the team in tackles with 73, including four tackles for loss and one sack ? missed the Oregon State and Rice games due to a personal emergency. He returned against Colorado State and has started every game since ? had a career-high 15 tackles against SMU and 13 against Oregon ? his only sack of 2002 came in the season opener at Wisconsin ? has his second career interception against SMU.     High School: All-league and All-Valley selection who was nominated for the Shrine High School All-Star Game ? was selected to Fresno Bee?s All-Star team his junior and senior season ? named Tri-River Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a senior when he recorded 130 tackles, two sacks, three fumble recoveries and five pass deflections.
