DeRuyter announces first seven hires to his coaching staff

Drew Hill is in his eighth year as the football operations coordinator at Fresno State. His job duties include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the football program, serving as the liaison to members of the National Football League and overseeing recruiting and training table.
Hill came to Fresno State from the University of Southern Mississippi, where for three years he served as the assistant director of football operations. While with the Golden Eagles, he was a part of a team that won the 2003 Conference USA championship and played in the Liberty Bowl. USM also participated in the 2002 Houston Bowl in Hill's tenure.
Prior to Southern Mississippi, the Atlanta native worked for three years as the college scouting assistant for the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL. He was a part of the 1998 team that played the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXIII.
Hill graduated from Southern Mississippi in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in sports administration and a minor in business administration. He married Kristi Moak in the spring of 2005 and they have one daughter, Madison Elizabeth, who was born April 26, 2009.
