2011 (Junior): Selected to the Academic All-WAC team ... played in 10 games, making one start at No. 10 Nebraska ... caught two passes on the year for 16 yards, including a one-yard touchdown reception at Idaho, Sept. 24 ... was second on the team with three blocked kicks, helping the Bulldogs tie a program record with 10 blocked kicks on the year. 2010 (Sophomore): Appeared in two games. 2009 (Redshirt Freshman): A member of the 2008 signing class who sat out the fall semester due to an injury and joined the team in the spring and redshirted as a defensive lineman. High School: As a senior defensive end, helped team to a Solano County Athletic Conference championship with an 11-2 record ... named honorable mention all-league after missing nearly half the league games ... invited to the all-star game ... also a standout basketball player who lettered for three years as a power forward and center ... sparked his senior squad to their second-straight league championship and section runners with a 26-7 record, which marked 17 more victories than the two seasons prior ... named defensive basketball player of the year, league most valuable player runner-up, first-team all-league and first team all-city. Personal: Born February 12, 1990 ... parents are Mark and Carolyn ... has one older brother, Mark ... former high school teammates that also play Division I football, at James-Michael Johnson (Nevada), Michael Johnson (UNLV), Jarrett Smith (Cal Poly) and Ryan Garmer (Colorado State) ... enjoys watching sports, listening to music, playing video games, reading and watching the news and hanging out with friends ... lists favorite athlete as Dwight Howard because he is always exciting to watch, looks like he's having fun and is very dominant ... lists biggest athletic thrill as getting sacks, dunking on people and blocking shots ... most admires his parents and God because if it weren't for them he wouldn't be half the man he is today ... chose to attend Fresno State because of the coaching staff, team atmosphere, the environment and especially the opportunities athletically and educationally.
