Fresno State: One of the most improved players on the team over the last couple of seasons ... will battle Marvin Haynes for a starting spot at free safety in the fall ... a smart and tough player who has paid his dues with limited defensive work and a lot of time on special teams ... a good student. (2007) Saw action in all 13 games on defense and special teams ... had 23 tackles which ranked 14th on the team ... made his first career interception against Georgia Tech in the Roady's Humanitarian Bowl. (2006) Saw action in all 12 games on defense and special teams ... made six tackles. (2005) Played in seven games, all in a reserve role ... saw time on special teams ... recorded five tackles. High School: A fast receiver and great athlete ... All-San Diego Section second-team selection as a defensive back by the San Diego Union-Tribune ... had 37 receptions for 680 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior, averaged 18.4 yards per reception ... as a senior, again averaged more than 18 yards a catch and caught seven touchdowns ... had four receptions for 83 yards and three touchdowns vs. Oceanside and scored on an 88-yard touchdown vs. Torrey Pines ... played cornerback, safety, was a special teams star as a return specialist and served as the team's punter ... was on the basketball and track teams.
