Fresno State: A physical player who can defend both the pass and the run ? returns to give the Bulldogs one of the best safety combinations in the nation ? a 1999 first-team All-WAC performer who was projected as one the top safeties in the nation before the 2000 season ? has played 36 career games in the secondary, most among active players ? will be an honors candidate ? coming off thumb surgery last September that caused him to miss the remaining 11 games of the 2000 season. (2000) Suffered a broken thumb in the season opener at Ohio State and missed the rest of the season ? received a medical redshirt ? a consensus preseason All-WAC selection who was rated the ninth-best safety in the nation by Lindy?s. (1999) A first-team All-WAC selection in his first year as a starter ? finished fifth on the team in tackles with 78, including 41 solos, second on the team ? tied for the team lead with three interceptions ? named WAC Defensive Player of the Week after two interceptions, one for a touchdown (76 yards) vs. Tulsa ? had one tackle for a loss and one quarterback sack ? tied for the team lead with six passes broken up ? forced one fumble and recovered a fumble. (1998) A constant threat on defense, playing in all 11 games ? made 16 tackles (eight solo) ? broke up three passes ? pulled in one interception, returning it for five yards. (1997) As a true freshman, Limbrick found himself on the field in 11 of 12 games, both in the defensive backfield and on special teams ... made seven tackles (six solo) on the season ... also had one fumble recovery.

High School: A 1997 graduate of Skyline High School (Oakland, Calif.) ... second-team all-state selection by Cal-Hi Sports and a SuperPrep All-Far West Region selection as a senior in 1996 ... also named first-team All-Bay Area by the Oakland Tribune and to the San Francisco-Metro All-Star team by the San Francisco Examiner in addition to pulling down all-city accolades ... led Skyline to a 10-2 record, a ninth consecutive Oakland Athletic League title and an Oakland City Section championship ... as a senior, recorded three interceptions and seven sacks while averaging nearly six tackles per game ... also scored five touchdowns on offense ... was an all-league baseball player ... his father, Tony, lettered on Fresno State?s 1972 football team ... was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 33rd round of the 1997 free agent baseball draft.
