Fresno State: A rock in the middle of the Fresno State defense ? anchors a line that with a physical presence that allows the ends and tackle Alan Harper to excel ? a strong player who has the potential to be an honors candidate. (1999) Started 12 of 13 games ? had 52 tackles, 33 solos ? recorded four tackles for losses and two sacks ? had three quarterback hurries ? had a season-high eight tackles vs. UTEP. (1998) Played a backup role this season, playing in nine games and registering 16 tackles (11 unassisted) ? recorded one quarterback sack and one PBU. (1997) Sat out while fulfilling NCAA transfer requirements from California, where he signed out of high school.

High School: Graduated from Fremont High School (Oakland, Calif.) in 1996 ... was a highly honored defensive player coming out of high school, earning SuperPrep All-America honors ... was the No. 30 prospect in the Far West and the No. 39 defensive line prospect in the nation ... also garnered Blue Chip All-America recognition as the No. 5 defensive line prospect in the Western Region ... as a senior, averaged 12 tackles per game and finished with 40 stops behind the line of scrimmage, including seven sacks was a state finalist in the shot put as a junior.
