Fresno State: Has started all three years and will be a starter again in 2002 … versatile enough to play as a center or guard … an intelligent player who has made calls at the line of scrimmage in the past … very tough and durable … will be one of the WAC's top offensive linemen. (2001) Played and starting in all 14 games … a solid performer who gave the Fresno State offense the room to rack up record breaking numbers … a key to the Bulldogs becoming the first team in NCAA history to possess a 4,000-yard passer, two 1,000-yard receivers and one 1,000-yard rusher … inexplicably did not receive All-WAC consideration despite the FS coaching staff viewing him as one of the most valuable performers on the offensive line. (2000) A candidate for All-WAC honors … started 11 of 12 games … one of the most consistent performers on the offensive line … helped give quarterback David Carr the time to stay near the top of the WAC in both passing efficiency and total offense the entire season … was named preseason second-team All-WAC by Lindy’s. (1999) Started 10 of games at center … a good, young player who will benefit from his experience … strong and quick … showed amazing maturity for a redshirt freshman … helped the Bulldogs allowing a school-record low 13 sacks. (1998) Redshirted.

High School: A tri-sport letterwinner who excelled in football, wrestling and track and field … was named All-South Sequoia League as a junior and senior, and all-area as a senior … was also named the team’s Most Valuable Lineman after helping his team to a 12-1 record his senior season … compiled a 14-2 record in the heavyweight division in wrestling … also an all-league discus thrower and shot putter.

Personal: Born December 23, 1979 … son of Rodney and Peggy Michael.
