Fresno State: Made big strides last year and was a force on the defensive line ? has tremendous heart and desire ? one of the more emotional members of the defense ? should be a major factor stopping the run this season (2000) Started 11 consecutive games after coming off the bench in the season opener ? had 38 tackles, 21 solo ? piled up nine tackles for loss and two sacks ? had a big game against UTEP, compiling seven tackles and four tackles for loss ? had five quarterback hurries ? recorded a sack and a tackle for loss against Tulsa.(1999) Redshirted. (1998) Tallied 27 tackles in 11 games ? took over the starting position at right end for the last five games of the season ? had one tackle for a two-yard loss ? had his best game of the season against San Diego State with six tackles, including three solo. (1997) As a true freshman, played in 11 games, with six starts ... recorded 29 tackles (18 solos) ... also had two tackles for a loss, one quarterback sack and a fumble recovery ... twice had five tackles in a game, versus Air Force and San Diego State.

High School: A 1997 graduate of Wasatch (Heber City, Utah) High School... two-time first-team all-state (3A) selection ... averaged 12 tackles per game as a senior ... also named first-team All-Region 10 mention ... team advanced to the quarterfinals of the playoffs ... as a junior, Wasatch went 7-4 and reach the state semifinals ... a four-year varsity letterman who was a three-year starter at inside linebacker.
