Fresno State: One of the team's smartest and most reliable players ... can come out of the backfield and catch passes as well as anyone on the team ... a very dependable player who can be counted on to carry out his assignment, whether it be blocking, receiving or running ... though perhaps not the most athletically gifted player on the team, he often does the "little things" that may not show up on a stats sheet but still help the team win. (2004) Played in all 12 games, coming off the bench in each ... rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown and picked up 152 receiving yards for two more scores ... one of the team's more versatile players with his ability to run the ball and come out of the backfield to catch passes ... had a big game against Hawaii, rushing seven times for 61 yards and a TD and catching two passes for 60 yards ... played a key role in Fresno State's big offensive run in the final six games ... finished fourth on the team in receiving yards. (2003) Competed in 10 games ... amassed 102 yards on 18 rushing attempts ... racked up 177 receiving yards on 18 receptions ... in a win over Rice, made four catches for 41 yards and scored first career touchdown. (2002) Played in seven games, starting two ... rushed for 54 yards on 23 carries ... caught 11 passes for 90 yards ... all but three of his rushes came in the first two games of the season. (2001) Redshirted.

High School: Lettered twice each in football, track and soccer at Clovis High ... helped lead CHS to a 12-1 record in 1999 and the Valley championship ... was named all-conference in football as a senior ... played in the 2001 City-County All-Star Game ... ran for over 1,200 yards a senior, a year in which he also ran a 10.8 in the 100 meters.

Personal: Born Oct. 25, 1983 ... parents' names are Monica and John Rivera ... has a sister, Christin ... favorite athlete is Barry Sanders because he was the type of runner he would like to be.
