High School: Played middle linebacker for Galena Park North Shore ... selected the Most Valuable Player in the 21-5A District of Texas after his senior season, leading one of the top defensive units in Texas.

Personal: Born Jan. 6, 1991 in Houston, Tex. to Marie and Guadalupe Salinas ... has three brothers, Guadalupe, Randy and Brandon ... has two sisters, Priscilla and Analisa ... has one son, Ethan ... former teammate, Thad Randle, plays football for Nebraska .. enjoys collecting model cars and working out ... lists favorite athlete as Brian Urlacher for his fearless play ... biggest athletic thrill is playing in front of a big crowd ... most admires his father for everything he has accomplished and how he raised him and his siblings ... chose to attend Fresno State because of the great program, coaching staff and his former teammate, Chase McEntee is also a Bulldog ... also recruited by New Mexico State, Texas A&M and TCU ... majoring in criminology.
