2011 (Junior): Missed the entire year after suffering a season-ending knee injury in fall camp.

2010 (Sophomore): Played fullback, tight end and on special teams ... played in 10 games and caught seven passes, two of them for touchdowns ... scored against Ole Miss and New Mexico State.

2009 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in nine games as a tight end and saw playing time on special teams ... caught three passes for 31 yards including a season long 17-yard reception against Louisiana Tech ... first career reception was a 10-yard catch at New Mexico State.

2008 (Freshman): Redshirted.

High School: Lettered in football and baseball in 2008 ... as a senior and the Offensive Most Valuable Player, sparked his Trinity High football team to a state championship with a 15-1 record ... registered 13 receptions for 550 yards ... named third team Writer's Association All State ... as shortstop for the baseball team, named first team all-district with seven home runs.

Personal: Born April 7, 1990 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Martha and Al Taumoepeau ... has two older brothers and one older sister... his cousin Ancly played for the Pittsburgh Steelers ... enjoys playing video games, hiking and snowboarding ... lists Frank Gore as favorite athlete ... most admires his dad because he had a plan for him, kept him going, and he is the reason Tapa is here ... majoring in kinesiology.
