Fresno State: A talented linebacker who came into his own last season ? started the season as a backup linebacker but emerged as one of the team?s top defensive players ? rangy, quick linebacker who is strong ? one of the team?s best leapers, he doubles as a key member of the special teams as the jumper on opposing field goals and extra points. (2001) Played in all 14 games, starting seven in a row to end the year ? took over at outside linebacker for Justin Johnson after six games ? finished seventh on the team with 61 tackles despite playing full-time for about half the season ? blocked an extra point against Colorado and a punt against Utah State ? came up huge against Colorado State, making back-to-back key stops in overtime to help FS to victory ? had a season-high eight tackles against Rice ? racked up six tackles, including four solos, in the Silicon Valley Football Classic against Michigan State ? his lone interception of the season came against Boise State.
