HEAD COACH Pat Hill: "I thought we performed well in all phases. Special teams was crisp, the hitting was good and we played with speed defensively. I am proud of the way our players played. They played with great intensity. We had a great crowd. I give alot of credit to our fans. They really came up big." "I was really proud of our young defensive players, they went in and kept the shutout alive. I don't think Davis has been shut out in a long, long time. We knew they had a good passing game. Forty-three passes for 188 yards is a pretty good night (defensively). I think you saw some good moves out of Devon Wylie ... He made some exciting plays out there today." "Defensively I thought we ran really well. I thought the contact was really good. There was some good hitting out there by the guys in the red hats. Dan Brown (former Bulldog defensive coordinator who died in March from brain cancer) means a lot to a lot of the players on this team. He means a lot to me. It's still had to believe he's not with us. Our kids know what's going on and they know Danny is watching. Hopefully we can keep up that intensity all year." Linebacker Nico Herron (never had scored a touchdown in his life): Fresno State QB Ryan Colburn: UC Davis Head Coach Bob Biggs On the electric atmosphere at Bulldog Stadium: "It was a great atmosphere and it is a model for what we want at our home games, but we need to be successful and win games." UC Davis LB Mike Morales
