Fresno State In-Game Notes at Nevada

    Pre-Game Notes
    • Fresno State captains: 2, Knox; 6, Saunders; 32, Toma
    • Fresno State won the toss, elected to kick. Bulldogs to defend South goal.
    • Senior Bryce Harris made his 33rd consecutive start at left tackle for the bulldogs.

    1st Quarter
    Tristan Okpalaugo had a one-yard tackle for a loss on the Fresno State five-yard line on Nevada's first drive of the game. It is his third-straight game with a stop behind the line of scrimmage.
    • After giving up a 58-yard pass on the first play from scrimmage, the Bulldogs held Nevada to a 22-yard field goal on its first drive of the game.
    Robbie Rouse's 65-yard touchdown run at 6:40 was the longest rush of his career.

    2nd Quarter
    Robbie Rouse went over 100-yards rushing on his first carry of the second quarter. It was on his ninth carry. It his 10th career 100-yard rushing game and the sixth this season.
    • Fresno State converted three third-downs on its second scoring drive of the game that was capped off by a eight-yard Carr to Jalen Saunders touchdown pass.
    • Saunders' touchdown gave him a catch in 21-straight games and it was his sixth TD reception this season.
    Isaiah Burse returned a kickoff 42-yards at 7:25. It was his second-longest kickoff return this year.
    Kevin Goessling's 22-yard field goal was the 58th made field goal in his career, moving him one behind Justin Ayat from Hawai'i for the third-most in WAC history.
    • Fresno State converted 7-of-9

    3rd Quarter
    Devon Wylie caught a wide receiver screen pass form Carr and ran 71-yards to the Nevada nine-yard line on the Bulldogs' second play of the second half.
    Victor Dean caught a nine-yard touchdown pass at 14:09. It was his first career reception.
    Logan Harrell and Matt Akers got Fresno State's first sack of the game at 12:05. It was Harrell's 17.5 sack of his career, which moved him into 11th place on the school's all-time sack record list.
    Jalen Saunders caught a 47-yard pass at 11:44. It was his sixth reception this season of 45 yards or more this season.
    Tristan Okpalaugo recorded a sack on a third-and-8 with under three minutes to go in the quarter. It is his third sack in the last two games and his fourth of the season.
    Robbie Rouse had runs of 18 and 12 yards on back-to-back plays on Fresno State's last drive of the quarter.

    4th Quarter
    Marcel Jensen blocked his third kick this season early in the fourth quarter on a 42-yard field goal try from Allen Hardison. It was Fresno State's eighth blocked kick this year and it kept Fresno State within six, 30-24.
    Zak Hill went over 10 tackles in the quarter for his first career double-digit tackle game.
